Leaping in Little League
Did you know that Little League Softball now allows "leaping"? Do you know what leaping is? In Little League baseball, "leaping" refers to a pitching motion where the pitcher's back foot completely leaves the ground while delivering the pitch, essentially having both feet off the ground simultaneously, as long as they remain within the pitching plate and the pivot foot doesn't "replant" on the ground for additional push-off; this action is currently considered legal under Little League rules, unlike the illegal "crow hop" where the pitcher re-plants their pivot foot for extra power.
