Little League recommends suspending play

Last week, Little League International recommended halting play until no earlier than April 6. Today they have pushed that date back to May 11. If and when play does resume it will be interesting to see how they handle the remainder of the season. Traditionally, leagues wind down regular season play the first week of June and shif to all-stars. Of course, only a small percentage of players participate in the all-star tournament So if Little League decides to keep the same schedule as years past, then most kids will only get to play a few games before the season ends. Hopefully, Little League opts to extend their seasons into the summer even if it means a different version of the Little League World Series than we're used to.
