There are many, varying opinions about the decision to cancel the Little League World Series. Some agree, some disagree, everyone is sad. And while some understand why the move was necessary, they are already thinking ahead to next year. Here is an example of a comment:
Little League needs to extend the eligibility for current 12 year olds to allow for them to play next year. It’s not like Little League hasn’t had 13 year olds playing on those fields. Up until last year 13 year olds were playing in Williamsport, so this wouldn’t be a new precedent.
Do the right thing, Little League, and give the eligibility to those kids. The NCAA even gave an extra year of eligibility, and we know how they just don’t like to do that.
