ABF/Better Basics Inc. BASIC Book Club After School December Awards
Sr. Thomas More, a man for all seasons, was known as a person who was very smart, quick to laugh, compassionate and above all else true to his beliefs. At the ABF we yearn for more Thomas More’s, though they need not necessarily be all males. These positive qualities can be cultivated through reading biographies of people who have internalized persistence, empathy, and tenacity throughout their lives. Our BASIC Book Club focuses on biographies of real people developing into generous contributors to others. Reading is rewarding for our would-be leaders and it constitutes rehearsal for life.
